TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That should round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
